Rebooting does not restore the correct behavior. Doh. I didn't even look on the General tab. On the misbehaving servers, the "Open each folder in the same window" radio button is checked, yet it still opens in a new window. I'm suspecting a bug in one of the previous updates, which gets fixed in the latest service pack. I have several other servers that are exhibiting the same behavior.
