		<description>If the switch is just a switch it would be strange for that to happen, but if it is both a switch and a dimmer there is a lot more going on in there that could short out.

We used to have several halogen torchieres.  Our fire department had a special deal where you could trade them in for fluorescents.  We still have one that is used a few hours a year and we are pretty much right there when it is, but we will never buy another.</description>
